Heirloom Portraits are of my family members and are given to family in honor of our loved ones. The paintings are acrylic mixed media and incorporate objects the subject created, wore, used or symbolize significant people and events in their life. The use of gels, glass, gems like peridots and crystals give the illusion of movement to the paintings which as the viewer moves seems to create a momentary glimpse back in time.
